OnlyFans Custom Content: How to Handle Requests Safely
Sooner or later, a fan will ask you for something made just for them. That's a custom: a photo, video, or audio clip made to a fan's request. Customs can be a nice part of your income. They can also eat your time and push your limits if you don't have a plan.
This guide is for cis and trans women creators in the US and UK. It covers how to set up a custom menu, decide what you'll say yes to, deliver on time, and avoid common scams.
What counts as a custom
A custom is any content made for one fan's request. Common types include:
- A short video with the fan's name or a special outfit
- A photo set in a theme they choose
- A voice note or audio clip
- A shout-out or personal message
Customs are different from your feed posts and mass messages. They take more time per fan, so they should be planned and priced with care.
Start with a custom menu
A custom menu is a simple list of what you offer and what it costs. It saves you from answering the same questions again and again.
OnlyFans' own Creator Center mentions putting a tip menu on your pinned post as one option. You can do the same with your custom menu.
A good menu includes:
- What you offer. Types of content, length, and format.
- What you don't offer. Your hard limits, said kindly and clearly.
- How long it takes. A delivery window you can actually keep.
- How to order. For example, "Message me with your idea and I'll confirm."
You set your own prices. OnlyFans' terms say creators decide their own pricing. If you're not sure where to start, our OnlyFans pricing strategy guide has a section on pricing customs.
Decide your yes and no list first
Write down your limits before requests come in. It's much easier to say no when you've already decided.
Ask yourself:
- What am I happy to make?
- What am I not comfortable with, no matter the price?
- Will I show my face, voice, or tattoos?
- Will I use a fan's real name in content?
You never have to accept a request. "That's not something I offer, but here's what I can do" is a full answer.
Follow OnlyFans' rules
Every custom still has to follow OnlyFans' Terms of Service and content rules. If a request breaks them, the answer is no.
A few things to keep in mind:
- OnlyFans' Creator Center says in-person meetups between creators and fans are not allowed. Never agree to meet a fan.
- If anyone else appears in a custom, they need to be verified or have the right consent records first.
- Keep all custom deals inside OnlyFans. Moving payment to other apps can put your account and your money at risk.
Rules can change, so check OnlyFans' Terms of Service yourself. This article is general information, not legal advice.
How to take an order
A simple order process keeps things clear for you and the fan:
- Get the details in writing. Ask the fan to describe what they want in a message.
- Confirm what you'll make. Repeat it back in plain words: length, outfit, theme, and delivery time.
- Get paid first. Taking payment before you start, through tips or a paid message on OnlyFans, protects your time.
- Make it and send it. Deliver through OnlyFans, inside the window you promised.
Keeping it in writing protects you. If a fan later says "that's not what I asked for," you can look back at the chat.
Deliver what you promised
OnlyFans' terms say your content should match how you described it. They also say that once a fan's purchase is confirmed, the creator must do their part.
In plain words: if you agree to make something, make it, and make it the way you said. If you can't, tell the fan early and offer a fix, like more time or a different item.
Watch out for custom scams
Not every request is real. Some red flags:
- A fan asks you to make the content first and promises to pay later.
- They want to pay off OnlyFans through another app.
- They send a "payment screenshot" instead of paying on the platform.
- They push hard on your limits or try to guilt you.
- They ask for personal details, like where you live.
If something feels off, say no. You can also block or restrict the fan. Our guide to OnlyFans agency scams and red flags covers more warning signs that apply here too.
Keep customs from taking over your week
Customs can pile up fast. A few ways to stay in control:
- Cap your orders. Only take as many as you can finish each week.
- Batch your shoots. Film several customs in one session.
- Use templates. Save short replies for common questions.
- Track orders. A simple list with the fan name, the request, and the due date works fine.
If messages are taking over your day, a chatter or manager can help. Read about what an OnlyFans chatter does and how an OnlyFans account manager can help with planning. You should still approve what you make and set your own limits.
A quick custom checklist
- Custom menu written and pinned
- Yes and no list decided
- Order details confirmed in writing
- Payment taken on OnlyFans before you start
- Delivered on time, as described
- Red flags noted and fans blocked if needed
